Costa Del Sol Banks Install Beds

Some banks on the Costa Del Sol have installed beds for customer use.  The move comes after customers complained about queue lengths and the amount of time needed to simply pay in a cheque with a cashier.  Customers have reported queuing times in excess of 39 hours at some banks.

In banks where no beds have been installed, customers will be permitted to sleep on the floor or on chairs

Beds Are The Best Option

Gimi Moulah from the National Costa Del Sol Banking Association told Costa Del Sol Update that “we have looked at ways to reduce queuing time including telling staff not to sit on the phone instead of serving customers, or instructing staff not to engage in lengthy conversations with each other about when young Javier starts at big school.  However, we have concluded that reducing queuing time for customers is not a realistic goal, so we have decided to improve the queuing experience with beds now being installed at various branches”.

Costa Del Sol Parody

Customers wishing to share a bed must demonstrate to the branch manager that they are married, and remain fully clothed at most times.

Popular Move

The move is going down well with customers.  Janet Crickwick from Torremolinos said “This is great, now I don’t have to worry about passing out from exhaustion after queuing for 19 hours.  I was once in here so long that I lost 3 stone, but I’m not complaining because I got the slimmer of the week award at El Mundo Del Flab.  It would be nice if they could open a Domino’s in branch or something though to help with the hunger”.
