Calahonda is getting ready to welcome the stars of ITV’s X Factor in 2018.  A show insider has said the judges were threatening to boycott the next series if they had to return to film in Liverpool, and Calahonda has been identified as a suitable replacement for this early audition stage of the show.

Like Liverpool But Sunny

The show insider told us that Simon Cowell felt it was important to give people from Liverpool a chance, even though he said he’d rather listen to Sinitta sing “So Macho” all day long than actually go back to Liverpool.  Simon told our insider “I have a very big house near Marbella and I once had to stop for cigarettes in Calahonda on my way from the airport.  Someone stole my watch.  There are clearly as many untalented scousers in Calahonda as there are in Liverpool itself.  In fact, it’s just like Liverpool but sunny”.

Talent In Calahonda

X Factor producers are confident they will find some real talent in Calahonda, as well as the usual camera fodder who make up the early stages of the show.  Our man told us “Louis Walsh is always talking about famous people he discovered, including Elvis who once visited Calahonda.  Though it might have been an Elvis impersonator”.

The Judges

Sharon Osborne told our insider “I’m happy that we’re ditching Liverpool and coming to the Costa Del Sol.  If I’m going to get stabbed by a scouser, I’d rather it happened in the sunshine”.  Nicole Scherzinger said to our man on the inside “Calahonda? Is that an electric car or something? Where’s Lewis? Oh, I dumped him. Shit.”
